As our new Junior Category Buyer, we are looking for a strategic thinker, who brings the vision and power of persuasion to get things done. Your main mission at UFBG is to source and actively approach new (international) suppliers while setting up and realizing a category plan. You are also responsible for proactively following market and product developments, identifying new opportunities & trends and translating them into commercial plans and actions.

Some of your responsibilities:

• Maintain and expand the relationship with your suppliers while keeping tabs on account plans, product quality and profitability
• Negotiate prices, payments, and delivery terms with your (international) customers
• Set up KPIs to follow up on the realization of defined targets in the areas of turnover and margin
• Make adjustments based on analyses and reports to improve process efficiency
• Work closely together with your colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve the best results – Teamwork for the win!

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• You have completed a higher professional education (hbo-level)
• You are fluent in English. Another language is a plus
• You are an expert in negotiating and making (price) agreements
• You are a great sparring partner at all levels, both inside and outside the organization
